349 Metropolitan Grand Opening Blowout

September 1st, 2010 · No Comments

349 Metropolitan initially landed on the market as condos for sale shown by Corcoran, but after running into numerous problems the attempted sale failed.  After many months of vacancy (and supposed squatters living on the premises) the building was refaced and marketed by aptsandlofts.com for rent.  The project was a huge success as all 40 units rented within 2 weeks of the mid August Grand Opening.

With 1 bedroom units priced at $2,200, and 2 bedroom condos listed at $3,000, the properly priced rentals rented quickly.  The building has top finishes such as bamboo flooring, modern designer kitchens featuring top-of-the-line Miele appliances and modern bathrooms.  Recreational amenities include a tastefully furnished rooftop deck with 360 degree Brooklyn views and the Manhattan Skyline, a fitness center, and a landscaped courtyard featuring a 4 story-high mural created by renowned Williamsburg artist R. Nicholas Kuszyk.  The location is absolutely ideal as the building rests on the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Roebling Street, literally 1 block away from some of the Williamsburg’s best restaurants and shops, including Billy’s C-Town, Brooklyn’s own Knitting Factory, Bozu, Fette Sau, Saltie, Walter Foods, and actually many many more options.  The Bedford L Train and Lorimer L are located literally minutes from the the property.
