I recently parked my car by the corner of North 9th street and Driggs ave, against advice I had given in an earlier blog in May . . . . . . Arggg; http://www.brooklynrealestateny.com/where-not-to-park. Now I have joined the potential mob of unhappy residents that have suffered at the hands of a theif who regularly breaks into vehicles parked between Driggs ave and Roebling on North 9th street in the Burg. I thought my car would be safely parked on the opposite corner of vandalism alley, however the assailant apparently became either more comfortable, or more aggressive in his/her quest to steal goods found in our glove compartments. After 20-30 cars have been broken into I finally saw the first evidence of a police reaction as an officer paced up and down the block. I am confident that a temporary police presence will only scare the car basher away, until their presence is no longer, and then the window smashing will continue. Good luck to all who risk it. I learned the hard way.
