One thing that is easy to find in Williamsburg is good eats.  Mom & Pops restaurants have flourished in the Burg and can be found most easily near the Bedford L train stop from North 8th street to the southside.  The above modern japanese restaurant, located on Grand street between Roebling and Havemeyer, features delicious tidbits and tapas style dishes as well as their infamous ‘Sushi Bombs’.  The decor is very earthy and the service is outstanding.  Regardless of their moderate pricing, Bozu is keeping busy through these tough times.  Small boutiques and specialized shops, such Cheeks Bakery shown below, have been ramping up their busineses for the incoming summer season.  I highly recomend Cheeks Bakery, located on Metropolitan avenue by Havermeyer.  They have some of the best cakes, cookies, fruit tarts, and cream cheese cake found anywhere in brooklyn….and maybe Manhattan.  Some other spots to keep in mind when you are trucking through the streets of WillyBurg are the Roebling Tea room(Metropolitan ave & Havemeyer) and The Bedford Cheese Shop(Bedfrod ave & North 4th st)…..absolutly outstanding and expensive cheese from around the globe.
