Although apartment hunting in New York can be straight up dismal, there are still gems to be found.  I came across an exceptional 3 bedroom Williamsburg Apartment Rental on the corner of Grand and Roebling street.  This spacious apartment has been fully renovated and features 3 large, evenly sized bedrooms boasting views of the Manhattan skyline.  Although there is only a single bathroom, the space is clean & nicely tiled - which is more then I can say for the majority of NYC bathrooms.  A sizeable living room and separate kitchen make this rental a steal for around $2,950.

The actual location of the building is outstanding.  The area is a favorite of locals, given the proximity to the Lorimer L train & numerous unique restaurants, boutiques and bars.  One particular venue I would like to draw attention to is Walter Foods.  The menu is seasonal; some of the highlights include a chilled 1/2 Lobster, Oyster Shooters, Warm Baby Beet Salad, 7oz Short Rib Burger, Peppered Filet Mignon, and their Fried Chicken(best in da Burg IMHO).  I’ve had the pleasure of eating lunch, brunch, and dinner at Walter Foods, but one of their true specialties is cocktails. . . which can qualify as a food group in Williamsburg.  In fact, I would dare say, Walter Foods’ bartenders are some of the best in Brooklyn.  The classic 1950’s decor and ambiance add to the charm.  Price of an antree will run you around $20, but it’s worth the extra cash.  Walter Foods gets an across-the-board A+.
