It’s nice to see eco friendly condos being built in Williamsburg. People have definitely become more environmentally aware and buildings like Greenbelt offer luxury living in a space that saves energy and lowers living costs. Using advanced technology, Greenbelt provides owners with reduced living costs using 40% less energy and 30% less water usage. Some of the building’s features include rooftop photovoltaic solar panels that use a renewable energy source to help power the elevator and common space lighting. The building itself was built using a number of quality recycled materials. The condos feature bamboo flooring, Energy Star Bosch dishwasher, Jenn-Air pro style range, Jenn-Air refrigerator, LG washer/dryer, and top of the line bathroom with standing shower & tub. Greenbelt was also conceived with arts at it’s core in order to creatively respond to the displacement of many local and NYC artists. The Center for Performance Research, CPR, will build out a 4,000 sqft space for contemporary dance, performance, art, and related forms.
