I recently read a fairly negative blog on Curbed about Mynt Condos located in Bed-Stuy. Some comments in the blog that I read were complaints about gentrification and an overpriced building. As I have worked with Mynt Condos since it opened up last October I must say that the neighborhood is not as bad as some people believe and the condos rented rather quickly at their listed prices. In all honestly, I really do not like the neighborhood myself. There are no shops or restaurants in the area and only a small park sits between Marcy and the Mynt. With this aside, the area is perfectly safe. For the past 6 months I have traveled daily to the Mynt. Sometimes I traveled by Subway and other times I drove and parked out front. I come to work well dressed, carrying a briefcase in one hand and my iphone in the other. I have never had any problems.

The condos at the Mynt have very nice finishes including stainless steel appliances, large granite countertops including an island, marble floors in the bathrooms, and storage in each unit. The building offers heated garage parking, numerous outdoor courtyards, rooftop decks, balconies, large fitness center, fresh direct storage, concierge, laundry, elevator, pretty much every amenity. With all that Mynt offers it really is a good deal. Can you imagine how expensive rentals would be in a similar building in Williamsburg or DUMBO? What are your thoughts?
